Progressing!

A couple of weeks into the venture, and our first (part-time) employee is on board, to do the things that I never do (admin). January was profitable – by some significant extent too, given the fact that we only got up-and-running half-way through, and there were public holidays. Now the technical work starts, and for that we need a technical person… if you can do Labview and Java, and know your way around a network, please contact me hylton_white@metry.co.nz and let’s chat. Full-time or part-time: open to discussion.

Metry is focused on:

  • Dynamic geotechnical & environmental monitoring (Dynamic monitoring means measuring fast when stuff happens, and slowing down when all is quiet, ¬†giving a far clearer picture of failure mechanisms than static time-interval based monitoring).
  • Putting broadband communications (beyond 3G/4G) into the field, with integrated vision. You can build your site-office communications and networking around our system.
  • Managing your data and helping you respond consistently to changes in the data.

My hunt for new premises gets serious this week as well. We need a combined warehouse / office setup, where we can fabricate systems in the back and work in (relative!) luxury in the front. Preferably in East Tamaki or Mt Wellington.

Till next time…
